Barcelona in four days
Four area-based days combining neighbourhoods, architecture and the sea.
DAY 1
Gothic Quarter, El Born and Port Vell
Start in the morning and pause in El Born before reaching the harbour. This order takes you towards the sea without returning to the start. If you add a museum, shorten the remaining walk.
2. Catedral de Barcelona
Explore the square and the cathedral surroundings from outside. Entering the building is a separate visit: check the conditions beforehand.

3. Plaça de Sant Jaume
Continue through the Gothic Quarter to the square. If you have a pushchair or need to avoid steps, check your route on the map.

4. Santa Maria del Mar
Walk towards El Born and see the basilica from outside. Take a break in the neighbourhood before continuing to the harbour.

5. Port Vell
Finish by the water or continue towards Barceloneta if you feel like walking further. No activity booking is needed for this outdoor route.

Gaudí at your pace
Start on Passeig de Gràcia and finish at the Sagrada Família. The final stretch is longer: transport is an option. Choose one main indoor visit; Park Güell needs a separate journey and is not part of this continuous walk.
1. Casa Batlló
Pause on Passeig de Gràcia to see the façade. Continue along the avenue towards La Pedrera; entering Casa Batlló is a separate paid visit.

2. La Pedrera
See Casa Milà’s façade from Passeig de Gràcia. The rooftop and interior require a separate visit: check ticket options if you want to go inside.

3. Sagrada Família
Look at the façades from outside before your visit. If you have a ticket, use the entrance specified on your booking; a street walk does not include basilica admission.

An unhurried Montjuïc day
Combine views from the Palau Nacional with an optional trip up to the castle. Expect slopes and steps: check the access that suits you. Do not assume fountain shows or facilities are operating without checking their schedules.
1. Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña
The Palau Nacional is a stop for views across Barcelona from Montjuïc. Visiting the MNAC collections is a separate plan: check admission conditions.

2. Montjuïc Castle
The castle sits at the top of the hill. This is not a level continuation: check return transport and admission before going up.

Park and Mediterranean
Spend your last day in Ciutadella and along the seafront. Finish at Port Vell or stay near the beach. With children or hot weather, reduce the distance and allow time to sit down.
1. Parc de la Ciutadella
A green break between El Born and the sea. Explore the paths at your own pace and leave time to rest.

Finish on the seafront promenade. Walking outside is free; bring water and avoid the hottest hours for a coastal walk.
