Arrival options, local transport and practical connections in Málaga.
Airport: train, not metro
Cercanías C1 connects the airport with Málaga Centro Alameda and Fuengirola. At María Zambrano, El Perchel metro is near the interchange. Check station and direction before boarding: the metro does not serve the airport.
Metro and city buses
Lines 1 and 2 let you combine metro travel with a city-centre walk; consult the official map and daily notices. For beaches, neighbourhoods or gardens beyond the centre, check EMT buses. Do not assume one ticket covers every service.
Plan your return
La Concepción, Pedregalejo and Gibralfaro are separate outings. Consider transfers, hills and your return before combining them in a day. Check accessibility, last departures and current fares with each operator.
