Centro Botín and Pereda Gardens

Centro Botín connects art, gardens and bay through architecture that appears to hover above the water. Renzo Piano, working with luis vidal plus architects, designed this art centre around lightness and continuity with public space. Observe its volumes from different points in the Pereda Gardens: light and horizon alter the impression of the building. Its interest extends beyond exhibitions; the surroundings reveal how contemporary architecture can change the relationship between city and sea. Check the programme and admission conditions before entering galleries or activities. Walkways and terraces may have restrictions, so follow the venue's current signs and instructions.
