The Museum of Human Evolution changes the scale of the story, from centuries of Burgos to questions about our species. Atapuerca discoveries connect remains, research and interpretation. Rather than rushing through every gallery, choose a few questions: how do we know what we know, what can a fossil tell us and what remains under investigation? Visiting the museum is not the same as visiting the archaeological sites in the hills; these are separate experiences with their own travel and reservation arrangements. Check admission conditions and allow enough time. Returning to the Arlanzón, historic Burgos may seem a very recent part of a much longer story.
