Burgos Cathedral

The cathedral asks you to look upwards, but also to change position. Begun in 1221, it brings together centuries of work and transformation that cannot be understood from a single photograph. Outside, notice how towers, doorways and pinnacles create different outlines around the building. Its Gothic importance does not mean every space belongs to one period. If you enter, allow separate time and choose a few details to observe slowly. Check the operator's current admission, route and conditions, distinguishing sightseeing from worship. Afterwards, look again from the square: discovering an interior can change how you understand the façade and its surrounding spaces.
